Conversations became texting, arguments became phone calls, feelings became subliminal messages online, sex became easy, the word “love” gets used out of context, insecurities have become your way of thinking, getting jealous became a habit, trust has been lost, cheating became an accident, leaving became the only option & being hurt became natural.

Today I realised for the first time that when I am scared/uncomfortable talking to someone, I struggle to make eye contact. If they’re looking at me, I look away. I never knew I did that, and although it seems obvious, it’s strange that I can’t stop myself from looking away if I feel nervous.
